Angell Family Genealogy Forum

Once we were numerous. Our dad Jim (James Norman) Angell had seven sisters, all of whom except for Aileen Maud married and changed their names. Aileen in still alive and in her nineties. Grandfather Angell was William whose family settled at Unley South Australia in 1830's but they walked from South Australia to Kew in Melbourne during the great bush fires pushing a hand cart. This may seem familiar but as far as I know they were accompanied by neither a fiddler nor a roof. They settled in Kew and the family graves are in the old cemetery there. We are told that the line came from Inverness in Scotland. The last remainders of our paternal line are sisters Barb and Dot Angell, daughters of Jim. I have a comprehensive genealogy if anyone is interested. Jim's brother Harry was killed at Gallipoli aged 20 - a genuine ANZAC. By the way we've all got Buckley's chance of getting our hands on those millions.
