I have some info on the Angells in upstate New York and Ottawa County, Michigan.

My great-great grandfather Silas Angell moved to Tallmadge/Talmadge, in Ottawa County, MI about 1860. Prior to that he and his brothers and father and lots and lots of Angells lived in Clinton County NY, specifically Mooers. (This is on the border of Canada -- very far north!)

Silas was married to Deborah (Piper) and unfortunately she died in 1868. Silas and Deborah had five children: Archie, Emma, Ida, Arthur, and Eva; Ida is my great grandmother.

In 1869 Silas remarried, to Belvia (Faxon) Hart Goodrich. Belvia had no children with Silas but she had had two daughters by her second husband, Mr Goodrich. (Belvia was widowed twice; Silas was her third husband. I don't know if she outlived him.)

The Angells were reasonably prominent in Mooers; a section of east Mooers/west Chazy was called Angelville (spelled with one L).

Hope this is helpful!
