Dear Margo: I am looking for Horace Angell who married Almira Hicks, b. 1828 in Palmyra, NY and d. in 1907. They had a daughter, Lucy Angell who married a Cook. I think they stayed in the area between Palmyra and Marion, both in Wayne County, NY.
Palmyra is east of Rochester , NY, just off the thruway. Marion is 4-5 miles north of Palmyra and the thruway. My cousins have been there recently, looking for Hicks relatives.
An uncle of Almira Hicks, named Oliver Hicks married a Sally Durfee in 1814 in NY. They moved to Elsie, MI and Oliver died there in 1872.
Do you think there might be a connection ??
