All I know is this:
I was born in DesMoines, Iowa 9/1957 to Lawrence and JoAnn Angell. My Father was born April 13th 1925 in Iowa City Iowa to Volney and Fern Angell. My father passed away August 10th 1977 in Long Beach, California. My Father's dad was(is) Volney Lyle Angell was born June 23, 1901 in Iowa. He died Feb 2nd 1977. My Grandmother was born Fern Bernice Starkweather in Iowa. I'm not sure of her info.
My mother was born in Ohio June 15 1934 to Alice and Ted Pleiss.

I saw something once on this site from a diane woodward that said her grandfather's brother was Volney Lyle Angell. I left a message and no reply. Can someone please help me get started in the right direction.
