Rev. John Angell born June 11, 1762,died July 5, 1843, married Mary (Polly) Griner Feb. 25, 1781. She was born 1760 and died July 21, 1857 They had 11 children
1. Matthias, 2. Burry. 3. Lawrence 4. Joshua, 5. John 6. Sally 7. Sidney, 8. Henry 9. Coty or Galy 10. Elizabeth 11 James.

From the book " Angel Trails"he is listed as the son of Charles and Sybella Angell.

He served with North Carolina in the Revolutionary War for 11 months and 15 days.
