My Great Great Grandfather, James Edward Angell was born in New Foundland in 1840 (Death Certificate), the son of John Angell. James Edward Angell emigrated to New Zealand and was married to Elizabeth Brace (or Bruce) also from New Foundland in 1856. Correspondence with the Angells in Quebec indicates a connection as yet unproven. Apparently there is a family connection with the surname Rowe in Montreal.
