I have just started tracing my family tree. My grandmother was Lilian Frances Amelia Angell born in Aston in 1909. Her father was Lewis William Johnson Angell born in Wednesbury Staffordshire in 1878. His father was Walter Angell born in Warfield Berkshire in 1856.He had a few brothers one of whom was Hercules Angell born in Binfield Berkshire in 1860. The families moved to Aston Birmingham in the late 1900's. We know of an Elsie who was either Hercules daughter who was born in 1900 or another Elsie who would have been born after the 1901 census, who my mother used to visit in Tipton when she was about 10 in 1945. She also remembers staying with an Uncle Jack and Auntie Lil or could have been Annie around the same time in Tipton. She thinks that Jack could have been Elsies half brother She knows that Elsie never married. Could they be part of your family? Hercules was a very popular first and second name within our family sometimes recorded as Her, Hercules and Herculas. Would love to hear from you.
