Hello. My brother Jesse and I have both posted messages about Frank Angell. He is the self same Francis A, who was a painter in Milford MA., married Emma Mann, son Jesse born 1870 who is our paternal grandfather. Frank later married Alice McClurken in 1896 (?) in Texas and they had a son Elmo Angell who enlisted in the Navy in WWI. I do not know what became of Elmo, or whether we have distant cousins in Texas. I live in CA and my brother and sister in CT. Frank died around 1900, and Alice collected his pension. I am planning to try to track down the family farm in Smithfield Rhode Island which belonged to Frank's grandfather Stephen. This farm was bequethed to his daughter Charlotte and her husband Lyman Arnold, and Frank's ancestors were buried there. Is there an organization in Providence which would help me locate this farm? The area of Smithfield and Johnstown is part of our roots going back many generations and I would love to hike through it next summer.
