Thank you for the information. That is helpful. I have been unable to locate a copy of John Beck's book, but the Family History Library has it on microfiche, and I have the fiche on order. I also have ordered the microfilm of the Sharon, CT vital records, so I hope they confirm Asemeth Calkin's birth date, place, and parentage. I will post what these records show as soon as they come in, and I am happy to share copies of whatever I find. Some researchers show that she was born in Tinmouth, VT, but I could not find any record in the Tinmouth church or town records.

Does John Beck's book list any sources, such as town or church records?
