The St. Charles (Ill.) Review, Oct. 18, 1878
Mrs. John Andrus was a surprised person, last Saturday afternoon, when a large party of friends and relatives tendered her a surprise party at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Zabriskie. The occasion was her sixty-fourth birthday. The afternoon and evening passed off pleasantly. Substantial presents were left by the guests, besides many kind wishes for Mrs. A.'s future.
