Sorry I didn't see your posting before this, but better late than never I guess.Your William Hall, as far as I know, was not the implement manufacturer of 1840s/50s/60s Oshawa.I believe, from circumstantial evidence, that his father was George Hall.George & your William were the ones for whom "Hall's Point" just to the east of Oshawa Harbour was named.The following is all I have on Geo & Wm:
