I have in the 1880 census a Richord (Richard) Andrus in Bloomfield ,Polk co, IA. He had a daughter Aletha who married a W.J. Hastie who was a preacher and they supposedly were moving to New Zealand in 1908.They were living in Altoona ,Polk,IA.They lived in Ill before that and Richard was from NY.I believe that Richard was a sistedr or cousin to a Roxanna Andrus who was my great grandmother. She lived in Bloomfield Polk,IA. also.
