ISAAC ANDRUS - Shaftsbury, Bennington Co., VT

I am researching the ISAAC ANDRUS family or any ANDRUS family who lived in the Shaftsbury area of Bennington Co., Vermont - possibly between the years 1780 and 1825. Vermont was not officially declared a state until 1790/91.
Here is my ANDRUS research so far-
My gr gr gr grandmother was a SARAH ANDRUS - born 29-Oct-1767 - place unknown. She married a John Tom(b)s/Toms on 08-Jan-1786 - supposedly in the town of Stillwater, New York, according to Rev War Pension Records of John Toms.
Toms family history claims John Toms was born on 30-Oct-1757 in Vermont but we know that is impossible since Vermont was not made a state until 1790. However, there is a John Toms family found on the 1790 census of Rutland Co., VT.
John and Sarah (Andrus) TOMS have the following children presumed born in what was the state of Vermont after 1790:
Jerusha -b:1787, Sally-b: 1788, Reuben-1791, Climena-b:1793
ISAAC-b: 1795, Hannah-b:1797. Note the son named ISAAC.
Then - In 1800 and in 1802 respectivly, two sons - Abriam and John, were born to John and Sarah (Andrus) Toms in (Shaftsbury?),Bennington Co., Vermont.
The last three children: Parleman-b: 1805, Charles-b: 1807 and Parmelia-b: 1809 were all born in the Schroon area of Essex Co., New York and John and Sarah Toms are on the 1810 Essex Co., NY census. (This is the same area in Essex County New York where a Ruluf Andrus moved to when he left the Shaftsbury area of Bennington Co., Vermont - so there may be a connection between my Sarah Andrus and Ruluf Andrus??)
By 1817 - John and Sarah (Andrus) Toms are found in the Attica area of Genesee Co., New York and by 1820 they are in the town of Wheatland - which is now located in Monroe Co., NY. Ruluf Andrus leaves New York for Ohio in the 1820's.
In about 1835, after the death of husband John Toms, Sarah (Andrus) Toms is found in Monroeville, Erie Co., Ohio - living not far from where Ruluf Andrus has settled. I believe Sarah traveled to Erie Co., Ohio with her son Abriam Toms and that Sarah possibly died somewhere in the area of Monroeville (Cooks Four Corners) - around 1843/1845.

Abriam Toms then moved on to Michigan ca 1845 and I believe he was with some ANDRUS family - very possibly an ELON ANDRUS, who was the son of ISAAC ANDRUS Jr. and the grandson of ISAAC ANDRUS Sr. - both of Shaftsbury, Bennington Co., Vermont. ABRIAM TOMS named one of his sons ELON.
Elon Andrus died and is buried in Washington, MI. Abriam
Toms died in 1880 and is buried in the Englishville Cemetery, Alpine Twp, Kent Co., MI where there are also many Andrus's buried.
I believe the above info to be true but so far it is not documented as fact.
If the above information rings any bells with anyone researching a TOMS or ANDRUS family - please contact me.

Thanks for any help offered.
