I first find Chester ANDREWS enlisting in Buffalo, NY in 1814 for the War of 1812. He appears on the 1820 and 1830 census for Clarence, Erie Co with an Erastus Andrews, possibly an older brother. He married Rachel CONANT in Lancaster, Erie Co. in 1825. He then appears on the 1840 and 1850 census for Alden, Erie Co. as Chester ANDRUS with Rachel and his two children, Sylvester Burton, b. 1839 and Mary Edson, b. 1840. The census for Marilla, Erie Co,1860 shows that Rachel has died and Mary's husband, Harrison PECK is now living in the household. Sylvester will marry Harriet UNDERHILL, daughter of Cyrus Metcalf Underhill and Melinda (Harmon)on July 31, 1860. I am seeking information on the families of Chester Andrus/Andrews and Rachel Conant (also spelled Conent/Connent/Connant)Thanks.
