I have two sources that identify Elizabeth Andrus as the daughter of Francis Andrews(Andrus) and Anna Smith, and one source identifies her both the daughter of Francis Andrews and the wife of Jacob Gibbs. Some LDS IGI references place her birth date about 1641 making her 17 when she married. ELizabeth was not mentined in her father's will, but I believe this is due to her being the only child married before his death and she likely received her portion as part of her marriage to Jacob Gibbs. Andrus is clearly a "pronunciation spelling" of Andrews. Some Andrus families ended up keeping that spelling. The other Elizabeth Andrews seem to be accounted from the 3 families of 1) John Andrews of Farmington, 2) William Andrews of Hartford, and 3) Francis Andrews of Fairfield.Elizabeth Andrews(b 1636) (of William) married Edward Grannis 3 May 1655. Francis Andrews was one of the Founders of Hartford in 1639, and his name is on the north and east sides of the Founders' Monument, Hartford, Conn.
