This might help someone--not related. The Devol Dispatch Devol, Oklahoma Friday, February 11, 1916 Obituary H. A. ANDRUSS Another of Randlett’s old time citizens is gone. H. A. ANDRUSS is dead. He died yesterday afternoon at the home of his son E. H. ANDRUSS where he had been ill for over a week. He suffered a stroke of paralysis. H. A. ANDRUSS was born near Russellville, Tennessee Feb. 18, 1836 and was married to MARGARET E. SMITH of New Market, Tennessee Oct. 10, 1858. He moved to Texas in the spring of 1859, joined the Confederate Army in 1861 and remained throughout the War, being present at the Battles of Galveston and Mansfield. In 1904 he moved from Bowie, Texas to Comanche, Oklahoma and later to Temple. In 1908 he came to Randlett where he resided until death. Nine children were born to his family, four of whom with his wife survive. They are MRS. W. S. TRIMBLE of Bowie, Texas, H. A. ANDRUSS Jr. and E. H. ANDRUSS of Randlett and J. H. ANDRUSS of Kingfisher, Oklahoma. The remains were taken to Bowie this morning where burial will be made. Notify Administrator about this message?
