Thanks so much for the info regarding Nancy Andress.
I had here on the tree but with only one husband, Harvey Foster Hanes, and only one child listed for them, Issac.
Do you have any other info on what brought Nancy to TX from Alabama? I have "heard" that she came with her brothers.
I am 99.9% sure that my Texas Andress' are from AL and part of this line. BUT so far I have only clues and no hard evidence. My great grandfather was James N (Nathanial) Andress .. his gravestone has middle inital "M" and only
James Andress' I can find in Al so far that might fit the timeline have middle inital "M". Anyhow.. I always thought it was Nathanial and have possibly one other source that I am tying to confirm that shows middle inital as "N" in a marriage record to Alice Ophelia Hornbuckle in 1873 in Cherokee County TX. My Grandfather (J N's son) was James Edward Andress. Married to Dovie Lee Smith in 1918. Both
my Grandmother, Dove, and my great grandmother, Alice Ophelia, show that they were born and died in TX. I only know that JN and JE died here as they are buried in Sand Hill cemetery in Comanche Co. TX just outside of Comanche, DeLeon, Sidney etc. James N and Alice Ophelia had 12 children.. most living around Hamlin, Jones Co., TX and De Leon, Comanche, Sidney in Comanche Co., TX.
Any info would be appreciated (even the smallest of clues) and I do appreciate your info on Nancy as well.
