Andress in New Brunswick, Can, 19th cent

A young Andress woman had a child by Stephen Hay of Saint John, N.B. in 1822. Her father was known as Squire Andress and may have been Elisha or William Andress. Her mother may have been Martha. I can only find the Andress name in one single instance in any New Brunswick documents. And yet I know they lived in the area of the city of Saint John. Does anyone know of any Andress family members who may have been Loyalists and came to N.B. in 1783 or later? I have a family tree of the descendants of Miss Andress and her husband Stephen Hay. Their only son moved to Australia and I have only just contacted the family this year. Miss Andress died shortly after her son Thomas Andress Hay was born and he was raised by his Andress grandparents. Her son's tombstone bears the Andress name (his middle name) in a graveyard in southeastern Australia. It has been encouraging to learn that their were Andress families in CT and Maine. Are they the ancestors of this New Brunswick Andress family? Help!
