Hi
Edvard and Alette Andresen is my Great Grand parents. His name was actally Gudbrand Edvard Andresen (born December 20, 1849 in Eidsvoll, Norway) and her name Alette Mathilde Jakobsdatter Andresen (born June 8, 1856). My grandmother was Gudveig Bergliot Andresen who was Atle's sister. I am now taking care of the family burial place as my mother Ruth (daughter of Gudveig) and father are burried in the same grave. Enclosed are links to a digital archive wwhere you can search for more information. There are pictures of Edvard and Alette, the entire family taking at the farm Skaberud where the family lived from 1896 untill 1912, a painting of the old farm houses and more pictures from the local area of Skaberud. The name Rude is probably taken from that farm. http://digitaltmuseum.no/search?query=Skaberudhttp://digitaltmuseum.no/search?query=Skaberud
Edvard was building mills and sawmills - all together 192 during his career. He was also doing industrial design - e.g. some iron mirrors. He was also playing violin and composing music. One of his songs called Brudemarsj (wedding march) has been recorded by a local band and is awailable for streaming/downloading e.g. here http://mp3.platekompaniet.no/site/web3/view.ftl?page=product_track&productId=1089785http://mp3.platekompaniet.no/site/web3/view.ftl?page=product_track&productId=1089785
