He could be an ancestor since names seemed to follow through the generations. Ohio was a favorite place for children from glassmaking families because there was a lot of Ohio glass firms. So the location is a possibility too. His father was Balthazar and his mother was Marie Barbe Le Wolff (or LeLoup). He married Marie Anne Schmid. Do any of those names ring a bell for your line?
