Brothers of Leopold ANDRES

Hi:

I've always been told, in our oral tradition, that the ancestral Andres family were stone masons who worked on the astrological clock at the Cathedral in Strasbourg. The story has it that my Great Great Grandfather Leopold Andres came from Alsace in 1846 with two brothers. We think their names were Gustav, August or John (Jean?). Leopold settled in Bridgeport,Connecticut, one brother settled in NYC, and the third went out to the midwest. Any of this sound familiar?

My Dad beleives they may have come from Bitche, a small village oustide Strasbourg, France, but I think he's guessing. I can tell you all about Leopold's family tree if you can identify either of these brothers.

Thanks,
William Joseph Andres III
