Andy,
I live in Southeastern Pa, about an hour and a half from Scranton. My grandmother, Johanna Andres Butler, was born in Trier in 1914. Her grandfather, Johann or John, was most probably from Alsace-Lorraine, according to her recollection. Johanna, came to this country in 1929 and settled in Scranton.
Her father's name was Nicholus, she was the youngest of 20 children, and states that she has a cousin named Peter.
