Hello Debbie,
Birdie Golladay was my grandfather's 1st cousin. He thought she was his mother's cousin but she was actually her niece. I do not have much info but here is what I do know: Birdie had 2 sisters, Ada and Viola. Ada married John Andree's brother, Lenard. I do not know who Viola married at this time.
Their parent's were Solly (Solon) Golladay and Mary Wine. Mary was an older sister of my Great Grandmother's (Anna Wine Christine Dragoo). Mary must have died before the girls were fully raised because I have found were Birdie was living with an "uncle"? and Ada was under the guardinship of her Grandfather, Samuel K. Wine, when she was married in 1901.
I have many photos of Birdie, Ada and maybe Viola plus the rest of the family including Mary with her parents when she was about 3. Please contact me if you would like to share info!
