Hi, I don't remember if we talked before but my great grandfather is an andrake. Michael Andrake. He came from around the Austria/Hungary/Slovakia area to Clearfield County, PA. He is my brickwall. Can't find out much about him. I do have some info...on his marriage license he has John and Elaski Andryko as his parents names. I have all his kids names and date of birth...don't have any siblings of Michaels...none that I know of....but I bet he had some. I know where he is buried and where he attended church...I have his death certificate and found him once in a census record. I know he was a coal minor and moved around the Clearfield and Cambria County areas and even at one time went out as far a Pittsburgh where he married his second wife. I have been at such a dead end with the Andrake name. I also think he may have been Carptho-Rusyn...have you ever heard of that? Well, I hope we can connect some how and solve this puzzle. Could you tell me what you know about your Andrake that you are researching? Thanks. Kristine (Johnson) Weakland
