Rick, my maiden name was Andrade and I was raised in Fremont, as were my father and his father. They were big ranchers/farmers in the area for many years. I would be interested in talking with you more about that. We may even be related! :)
I have traced my Portuguese ancestors back quite a ways. My Andrade surname was actually Andrade de Macedo when my great grandfather immigrated from the Azores. Prior to that, it was Andrade one generation, then Macedo the next.
