My grandfather was born abt. 1895 in Villa Franco, Saint Michael, Azores. His last name was ANDRADA. My fathers name was the same as my grandfather. When my birth sertif. was made out the clerk changed the last "a" to and "e", hence ANDRADE.
My grandmother last name was SOUZA also from the Azores.
It is a difficult taks tracing back to the islands. Good Luck.
