I am looking for information on this family.
LAVINIA ANDERTON March 21, 1847 in Prescot, Lancastershire, England. She was born Jan 13, 1824 in St. Helens, Lancastershire, England, and died December 24, 1877 in Tonica, Illinois. Lavinia was christened Feb. 15, 1824 at the Tontine Street Wesleyan Methodist Church. Her parents were Joseph Anderton and Rachel Roby who were married Aug. 22, 1814 in Wigan Lancashire, England. Rachel was born in 1800 in England. I believe that Joseph was born Nov. 7, 1790 in Liverpool, England to Joseph and Jane Anderton. I found Racheal Roby Anderton on the 1881 census for Wigan, Lancashire, England.. Lavinia had a sister named Phoebe Anderton who was born Feb. 7, 1831 in St. Helens, Lancashire England and christened in Tontine Street Wesleyan Methodist Church on March 20, 1831. She married someone named Speakman in England. Then she married Duncan Hamilton
Phoebe Anderton Hamilton died Jan. 27, 1892 in Lowell, LaSalle County, IL.
Lavinia Anderton married George A. Gee and immigrated to America. George and Lavinia had 8 children
