Hi Jim,
Are you interested in the lineage of Margaret Caldwell, the daughter of John & Susannah Caldwell who married Daniel Dyson? I have strong evidence that Margaret's father John Caldwell is the son of John Caldwell, the founder of the Cub Creek settlement in Brunswick/Lunenburg/Charlotte VA and the brother of William Caldwell who died 1761 in Lunenburg, most of whose children also settled in Newberry. Yes, I know of the many, many postings that John married Jane Kennedy or Mary Ann Davis or Eleanor Ewing, but none of the postings (at least, those that I have seen) offer any documentation or evidence. If interested, let me know and I will share the evidence from which I draw my conclusion.
