I need help.
Sarah Anderson married John Couch, about 1780, in VA.
In 1797, a James Anderson, Esq., was a witness to the will of Jacob Couch, in Greene, TN. Jacob's son, John Couch, married a Sarah Anderson, born about 1760. In the 1850 census for Greene, TN, Tempy Anderson, born 1799, and Catherine Anderson, age 3, are living with Reuben and Catherine West. Tempy Anderson is shown with Reuben West in 1860 and 1870, even after the death of Reuben's wife, Catherine.
Tempy was a Pratt. August 13, 1818, in Greene, TN, Temperance Pratt married John Anderson. Who were these Andersons? How were they connected to Reuben West? John Couch and Sarah Anderson's son, married Reuben West's sister, Eleanor.
This John appears to have had brothers: Jacob and Samuel, both born 1780's and 1790's, who moved to Scott County(?)
Were this John, Jacob and Samuel, all in Greene, TN, for their marriage, sons of the James Anderson, gent., who witnessed Jacob Couch's will?
Who were they? All these people stated they were born in VA.
