Sally, those handwritten, capitol letter "flourishes" can be hard to read, so that is why is is important to use other census and other records to help identify what we might not be able to read on ONE census. Having a knowledge of, or learning about a family group is most important to pinpoint a person's place in the family, in spite of errors or unreadables. Just like a detective finds and uses many different clues to solve a situation. When researchers who have experienced this for themselves share with those who might not have learned this yet, it can solve many problems or mysteries in genealogy. It sometimes "takes a villiage" and that is the purpose of forums such as this. Speaking of census, who is Allison Storm in the household of William C Anderson's and your David Q Anderson's brother James on the 1870 Wise Co TX census? I wonder if he could be who Letha Longley's husband Storm Anderson, born 1878 was named after? Let's see, if Storm Anderson was the son of your gr grandfather's brother William C, then you would be cousins to Storm's grandchildren, right? Is there an Anderson family reunion planned in Brown Co TX any time soon? I need to find my Cousins Chart, to read up on how those Cousins Once, Twice Removed are explained!
