What we have here is one of the indexers at Heritage Quest not being able to make out her age on the actual census page, so they took a guess. If it works at Heritage Quest the same as it worked when I worked at microfilming records, they ramdomly quality check. Also what we have here is a failure to identify Jane Scruggs Anderson by identifying her with the same family group on OTHER census years, and not relying on one unreadable age. Her own son David's age, in the same 1880 census household, in not exactly 10 years older than he was on the 1870. Speaking of census, who is Allison Storm in the household of William C Anderson's brother James on the 1870 Wise Co TX census? Wouldn't it be interesting to learn that he was who Letha Longley's husband Storm Anderson, born 1878 was named after? I wonder if William C Anderson's descendants can answer that when you ask about Jane Scruggs? Sincerely, Fran Bolton Notify Administrator about this message?
