Lauchlan (?) McGillivray was a neighbour and close friend of James Adair, the fur trader and was mentioned by James Adair in his book. Early wills with mention of Glynn County, St. Davids Parish or St Patrick’s Parish and environs - Glynn County Deeds, LDS Microfilms 0202333 and 0202334 20 May 1757 Daniel Clark. Augusta, Indian trader, (was he connected to Clark Hobson, wife of James Adair ?) "but now in Charlestown sick in body." Friends: Alexander Petrie and wife, 12 pounds SC currency to each for mourning rings, 350 pounds SC currency to be divided equally among their children, John McQueen, his wife & dau, Ann, 12 pounds; 60 pounds to their children, to each child also one horse from my best stock on Shell Creek. (An Alex Adaire witnessed will with/of a McQueen / Queen in Maryland in 1730s ?) George Summers and his wife, 200 pounds, a stallion, a mare, a trotting gelding; 12 pounds. Brother-in-law: Alexander Clark, formerly a merchant, at Inverness, (Scotland ?) 300 pounds Sterling and to his daughter, Margaret and her children, 200 pounds Sterling equally divided.
