It really sounds like you have done a lot of work on the Anderson Clan. My husband is descended from Vincent through his son Rev William Farrar Anderson. Most had thought that William Farrar was not Margaret Terry's son until Bob's cousin, Cheri Casper found a deed in Caldwell Co, KY showing that Margaret was still living in 1807 Cheri found a link to the Will of Benjamin and Lucy Hatcher Terry, Margaret's parents, listing William Farrar as her grandson. I knew there were severl Vincent Anderson, but did not realize there were 10. I did find one in Facquer Co, VA(?) which wasn't our relative. I do not personally believe that Rev James was "our John's father". I still wonder if what William English Anderson said about John coming from Scotland isn't true too. When we started researching Bob's family, we knew his great grandfather's name and that he was from Graves Co, KY. Most of our documentation came from census records and cemetery books of Graves Co, KY. Of course you can not trust the ages on the census, but it does give you an idea where to start especially since the court house burnt several times.
