This was an old post, I have been able to find out more information since. My Axel F. Anderson was born Feb. 24, 1861 in Sweden, and he died April 14, 1923 in New Sweden, ME. His father was Anders Andersson. His wife was Anna Sofia Larson also born in Sweden on May 13, 1860. She died in New Sweden on Aug. 18, 1940. According to information from 1900 census Axel immigrated in 1875 and Anna in 1885, and they had been married 15 years at that time. They had 3 children: Arthur, Lillian, and Esther. Arthur lived and died in New Sweden, Lillian moved to Presque Isle, ME and Esther to Antrim, NH. If this is the Axel Anderson you're looking for and you have any more information, please let me know.
