Andersen/Larsen in Denmark /Wisconsin/Michigan
I am Looking for information concerning Arthur Andersen and his wife Sophie Andersen.I do not have much information to go by except for vague personal histories. If something sounds familiar emal me and we can compare notes.
The Andersens had 8 children in Denmark and I beleive that they lived on the Island of Mon.My Great-Grandmother was born there on March 22, 1877.Her name was Pauline. She came to America when she was 12 with an aunt Mary Larsen.I do not know for sure if this was her aunt or the aunt of the person who gave me this information. On December 22, 1896 she married Christian J. Heide in Wisconsin. She died Jhun 18, 1918 age 41 of TB.
Pauline had three sisters and four brothers:
1. Ada, who married Christ Frost
2. Minnie, who married very young and lived in Northern Wisconsin.Died in childbirth. Was this Mary Larsen?
3.Emma, who stayed in Denmark.
1. Eric Andersen
2 John Andersen
3. Henry Andersen, who took the name Madison. He had a daughter Helen. She took honors in 1931-Jansen swimming suits.
4 Peter Andersen. He owned a farm in Michigan, raised animals, became a butcher, was well to do and owned a meat market. He had two daughters, Nellie and Sophie ( a school teacher)
Any information concerning these people would be helpful in furthering my search for Arthur and Sophie Andersen's ancestors.
Thank-you
Laurie
