I found the following information on the Social Security Death Index register:
Carrie Jackson b. 20 Feb. 1882 and died April 1977, Tampa, Hillsborough, FL.
I imagine that her death certificate or her obituary (the newspaper probably has it in the archives) would give the address at that time and the living relatives. There are a lot of small towns and suburbs around Tampa.
There is also listed under Yahoo People Search:
John R. Jackson 8103 Kendelwick Ct,Tampa, FL 33647 813-977-1397
This might be the John Roy you seek - or it might be John something else with initial R. Would be worth a call to check it out. Or you could send a letter and explain who you are and what information you seek.
