Hi Sandy,
I found a clipping copied from a book. Unfortunately it is just a copy and I cannot find the rest. Here is what the clipping says:
John (Heinrich Fredrich Joachin) Anders the son of Karl H.A. and Elizabeth Marie (Heuser) Anders, was born February 20, 1857 near Lubeck in the German State of Prussia. John arrived in America May 15, 1882 at the age of 25. After stopping briefly in Cleveland, Ohio he visited German families from Lubeck, who had settled near Nebraska City. Looking for land, John Anders and Fred Scheel came out to Gosper County and found work on the Nutzman Ranch. He met Amelia (last name unclear) who was also working there. On September 18, 1884 John signed an intention to become a citzen of the United States, in the Gosper County Courthouse located thedn at Homerville. On December 2, 1890 he received his Certificate of Citzenship, signed in the courthouse in Elwood. On September 20, 1884 he took out a homestead on SE 1/4 8-5-21 in Highland Precinct of Gosper County. I just thought since it mention two names (last names) that you mentioned it may help you. Sorry that it is just a copy and I cannot tell you where they were talking about and what book it is from. There is also a picture of him and a son Fred. I think this may be in Nebraska but I am not sure.
