Anders/Crouse family of North Caroline/VA

A book by Betty Maynard and Bonnie Tedder about the Crouse family has Elizabeth Crouse (daughter of Jacob Crouse and Sally Edwards Crouse marrying James Andrews and her sister Margaret marrying Loranzo D. Andrews. I have always believed it to Anders and have looked at and tried to track these people and the spelling of the name through most all of the census....going back beyond 1850. It has always looked to me like the family name is ANDERS. Since it has been published by these two ladies as Andrews, I'm a bit confused on which is correct. I tend to believe it is Anders....can anyone shed a light on this?
