Hope aka Jack Anders s/o Wm Thomas Anders & Maude (Gregg?)
Hoping to connect with someone working on this 'hard to track' Anders family.
William Thomas Anders bn abt 1870 in TX
(Wife) Maude bn abt 1874 in TX
1900 census, cant find them anywhere.
1910 TX, Scurry Co,
1918 TX, Crosby Co
son Cibble Branson Anders files his WW1 draft registration form here. Son, Hope Anders files his WW1 draft registration in New Mexico. Both list nearest relative as mother, Mrs Maude Anders of Crosby Co, TX.
1920 TX, Lamb Co
William is not listed. Maude is listed as widow and her oldest son Cibble B. Anders 23 is listed as head of household. Plus 5 other children
1930 TX, Lamb Co, Littlefield twp
William is back as head of household, listed as Thomas W. Anders. Wife, Maude & sons Clay, Houston (& his new wife Cleo) and grandson L.B. Hogland 3 7/12 are also listed. It appears that this grandson is the same Lloyd L.B. Hogland bn 12 aug 1926 in Potter Co, TX; s/o Henry Louie Hogland & Evelyn Anders.
Known children of William Thomas Anders & Maude:
Cibble Branson Anders 20 Dec 1896 md Agnes Sabin
Hope (Jack) Anders15 Nov 1898 md Inez Sonora Young
Ethel/Evelyn Anders bn abt 1901 md Hogland
Clay Cornelius Anders11 Nov 1902 md Edith Denia Wilson
Houston bn abt 1907
Felica/Velata bn 1909
Loy bn abt 1912
Lela bn abt 1915
I found one entry that states mother of Cibble Branson Anders was Beatrice Maude Gregg and father William Thomas Anders but I can find no info on a female Gregg in TX that fits Maude's timeframe.
Another possible is an entry found on Familysearch.org, no submitter/documentation listed.
William Thomas Anders
bn 22 Dec 1870 (of Trinity, TX)
died 23 Sept 1947
s/o Charlie Anders & Neffie Squares
But I have not been able to locate any early TX census records to support this.
Hope this data is of help to others,
Marsha
