I am looking for more information regarding James Andrews, who was in the Duplin Co., NC census in 1800, 1820, and 1830. Based on his age in those records, he was likely born between 1780-1784 and died between 1830-1840. He had 5 or more sons and 4 daughters. He may be related to Abraham and Whitmell Andrews, who were in the same area around the same time. 4 of the 5 sons may have been named Henry, James, William, and Alfred. Any information on James, his wife, parents, and known children would be appreciated. He may tie into the other Andrews/Anders of southeastern NC, but no connection has yet been made.
Regarding the 4 possible (not proven) sons: Henry was born about 1810 in NC and married Irene & died about 1850. James, Jr. was born about 1816 in NC and married Cassie Ann (Weeks?). William was born about 1819 and married Susan Vann (daughter of James Vann & Mary Tatum). Susan had previously been married to Edmond Register. Alfred was born in Nov 1826 and married Mary Jane Weeks.
-Phil Andrews
