Myrtle Genvieve Small, 88, Heron Lake, Minnesota died Sunday, May13,2007 at the Sanford Hospital, Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Myrtle was born November 17, 1918 in Brewster, Minnesota to Chris and Bessie Amundson. She grew up on a farm and attended country school by Brewster. She married Merle Small November 6, 1937 in Brewster. He died July 14, 1983. Following their marriage they farmed near Clear Lake, South Dakota, Heron Lake and Sioux Valley. In 1966 they quit farming and moved to Heron Lake. She later worked at Campbell South Company for seven years. In 1991 she had a stroke and moved in with her daughter.

Survivors include one daughter, Betty (Arnie) Rindfleisch, Heron Lake, one grandson, Randy (Shar) Rindfleisch, Fulda, four great grandchildren, Dustin, Erik, Justin and Sierra Rae, Fulda. Myrtle was preceded in death by her husband, Merle and one son, Ronnie.

Funeral Services will be held at the Evangelical Lutheran Church, Heron Lake on Saturday, May 19th at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Mark Yackel-Julleen officiating. Visitation will take place beginning at 1:00 p.m. Burial at the Lakeside Cemetery, Heron Lake.
