Karl Konrad Amsler (1808 Aargau Switz.-1874 TX ) - TX Rev soldier - DNA

I'm looking for information on ancestor KARL KONRAD AMSLER, who arrived in America from Schnitsnacht, Aargau, Switzerland, around 1834 with wife MARY LOEWENBERGER (1803 Koelichen, Argau, Switzerland - 1896 TX). He joined the Texas revolutionary soldiers and participated in the storming of San Antonio with Ben Milam in Dec. 1835, earning a land grant for his military service. He and Mary both died in Waller Co., TX.

I already have the book on his descendants, Amslers of Austin Colony, which traces his ancestors back to Ulrich Amsler (c. 1560 Schinznach, Aargau, Switz. -- ).

I'm particularly looking for information on their living descendants and collateral descendants who might want to do a Y-DNA test (where you scrape the inside of your cheek with a plastic scraper).

Has anyone already done an Amsler Y-DNA test on this line back to Ulrich?
