I visited the cemetery last weekend in search of my own ancestors and noted the information on the Amsden tombstone as an historical note because after Isaac died, one of my ancestors bought the tavern he had operated in the town of Seneca, Ontario Co., NY. The tombstone is an obelisk and reads as follows: (spellings are as they appear on the stone) Issac Amsden d. March 21, 1841, 86y 9m 11d Elizabeth wife of Issac Amsden d. August 23, 1812, age 50y 1m Diadami, 2 wife, d. December 11, 1831, age 55y 2m 21d Susannh, 3 wife, d. January 1, 1837 There is also a Revolutionary War marker which states: Sgt. Continental Line, Revolutionary War, 1755-1841 Just thought someone might be interested. Notify Administrator about this message?
