Hallo, Stewart.

Many thanks for taking the time to write. I had managed to gain most of the details you sent from Jo Pegrum, but did not know the details of Francis' birth, so that's very useful.

The son James married my ancestor Jane Carter and settled in Harpford, Devon, where he carried on his trade of cabinet-maker. He died quite young, and both he and his wife are buried in the Carter corner of Harpford churchyard.I wonder how he came to even be in the Harpford area at all, except that there is a small clan of Devon Amors living in the area at that time. Could they have been an offshoot of the Wilts Amors, and he was on holiday visiting when he met his future wife? Any ideas?

Regards,

Mark.
