Hi.... I'm researching the Aymers of IL... Thomas, born 1849, immigrated from Wiltshire with wife Mary Jane Backingham in 1879. Mary Jane died in 1890, leaving 8 children. Thomas remarried in 1895 to Sarah Jane Mills. He died in Taylorville, Christian County, 1906. I know that at least two of his brothers also immigrated. Charles and Richard. If anyone is kin to any of these men, please contact me. I'd be more than happy to share my information for yours.
