My grandfather was Pietro Amodeo, who immigrated from Misilmeri to Brooklyn in 1890. I know (through family lore and Ellis Island records) that he returned to Sicily a few times, and that he also helped bring over other family members. According to Ellis Island records and conversations with distant relatives, we believe that Pietro had at least 2 brothers (Lorenzo and Domenico), and a sister named Antonina. Their parents (my great grandparents) were Diego Amodeo and Marianna Pappalardo.
