Chris,
My father's side originated from Naples...a long list of the Martone family.
Not sure of those in Queens, however, I worked with a John Amodeo in the biz when I was at NBC and his family was from Sicily....distant relative perhaps.
In either case, My grandfather, Ferdinand, was the town musician, teacher, barber, artist, in upstate NY...more specifically in Mechanicville. The rest of the Amodeo clan are in NY, Delaware, and of course in California where we reside.
There seems to be a proliferation of Amodeo's these days...however, we were the only one's on the west coast before the 1950's
