MECHANICVILLE - Vincent A. Amodeo, 88, who operated the Valley Falls Barber Shop for more than 63 years, died Saturday at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy.
Born in Mechanicville, lifelong city resident.
Member of Assumption-St. Paul Church.
Survivors include his wife, Florence Bochette Amodeo, whom he married Nov. 1, 1936; two daughters, Carol Krajewski of Stillwater and Linda Gulli of Wynantskill; a son, John V. Amodeo of New York City; a brother, Ernest Amodeo of Malta; two sisters, Adeline McLean of Mechanicville and Bridgett Conduzio of Ballston Lake; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery.
DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 S. Main St.
