William Ammon and Lucy Snapp are gggrandparents of mine through their daughter Delilah Ammon. I would like to benefit from what you have learned -- including what grandmother's name is incorrect.

Both Leonard and his brother Reinhart are listed on the April 15, 1779 roll call list of the Pennsylvania Volunteer Militia. Both are listed as Second Class in Braunshweig Twp., 3rd Battalion, Berks Co. Militia under command of Col. Lindenmuth.
Leonard received land in Ohio for his military service. He moved his family from Pennsylvania to Ohio in 1805. The settled in Van Buren for a few years until he received his land grant. His land was adjacent to that granted to John Apple. Later, he bought another 160 acres.

John was born in Schuykill County, Pennsylvania, which was changed to Berks County in 1752.
John served in the Revolutionary War in the 8th Company of the Pennsylvania Volunteer Militia under Capt. John Wagoner.
John moved from Pennsylvania to Ohio after 1879. His family settled in what was then Dayton Township, now Miami. They later went North to Champaign County, first settling in Mad River, and then Johnson Township. On 23 Jan 1832, he bought 80 acres and on 3 Jan 1839, he bought another 80 acres.
John received a land grant in Ohio for his service in the Revolutionary War. His land was adjacent to land granted to Leonard Snepp. Leonard's son, Reinhart, married John's daughter and later a younger daughter, Elizabeth, after Catherine died.
