No, I have not seen the Digby site. What is on it?
François Amirault married to Marie Pitre was the first Amirault to come to Acadie/Acadia from France. Only 4 of his children settled in the Baccareaux/Barrington area of today. Marguerite married Jacques II d'Entremont, ancestor of all the d'Entremonts in Pubnico today. Her sister, Marie married Joseph Mius d'Azy, ancestor of all the Muises of Yarmouth county. the 2 others were Jacques I and Charles. They were all deported in April of 1756 from the Barrington area to Marblehead aand later to Walpole, Mass. where they would stay 10 years in exile before returning to Yarmouth and Digby counties. Their lands in Barrington was now taken by the English settlers.
Charles and Jacques I Amirault and families returned but Charles had only daughters, therefore no sons to continue the family name. Jacques I is known is the ancestor of all the Amiraults of southwestern Nova Scotia. His son Ange is the ancestor of all the Amiraults in East and West Pubnico Jacques II is the ancestor of the Amiraults of Amiraults Hill. Basil and Isidore settled in the Church Point and New Edinburgh area. Basil married Marguerite Doucet and Isidore married Marie-Josephte Leblanc.
